Lexington man sentenced to 12 years for deadly shooting of father

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Kyshawn Owens was sentenced to 12 years in prison today in connection to a deadly bar shooting last year.

Kyshawn Owens pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in the 2024 death of Chadwick Boone at Brothers Bar and Grille.

Owens was arrested in New York months after the shooting.

Today in court, the judge sentenced Owens to 12 years to be served concurrently for the charges he faced.
