Lexington man robbed by suspect with knife

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are investigating a robbery that took place early Saturday morning involving a knife.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. near Third and Elm Tree Street.

Police say the victim fought back leaving facial injuries on the suspect. The suspect got away with the victim’s wallet and cash, according to police.

The suspect was armed with a knife, police say.

The victim was not injured.

Police say they have no one in custody at this time.
