Lexington man pleads guilty to trafficking meth and fentanyl
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man is facing decades behind bars after pleading guilty to drug trafficking in Laurel County earlier this week.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Khalil Washington, of Lexington, pled guilty to trafficking meth and fentanyl. He faces a recommended sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
Deputies say Washington was arrested in 2023 during a traffic checkpoint.
The sheriff’s office says deputies found a pound of meth, two ounces of fentanyl and a gun in his car.
