Lexington Man Makes Use of Old Bourbon Barrels

Tony Davis took a past time from his childhood and has turned it into a business.

After leaving the Marines, Davis started his business, taking used bourbon barrels from distilleries like Buffalo Trace and giving  them new life as cutting boards, easels and other crafts.

He says much of the proceeds he brings in from his products go to local non-profits like the American Cancer Society, Red Cross and Toys for Tots.

Davis says what’s important to him is leaving a legacy of generosity through his business, while at the same time creating works synonymous with the Bluegrass.
