Lexington man loses home due to fire

Early Sunday morning, firefighters sifted through the remains of a Lexington home after it caught on fire.

Firefighters were called to Menifee Avenue around 3:30 AM.

At the time of the fire, no one was inside the home, but at least one person did live in the residence.

Firefighters say the home is “a total loss” due to the damage.

Investigators do not know where the fire started but say they do not believe the cause is suspicious in nature.
