Lexington man charged in September shooting on Devonport Drive
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – A Lexington man has been charged in connection with a September shooting that left one person critically injured.
According to the Lexington Police Department, 23-year-old Johnte Woods is charged with assault and criminal mischief in connection with a shooting that happened September 28 on Devonport Drive.
Police say the victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and several vehicles in the area were also struck by gunfire.
Investigators say Woods was arrested on October 10. During his arrest, officers reportedly found cocaine in his possession, leading to additional drug charges.
Woods remains in custody as the investigation continues.
