Lexington man accused of raping child

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police accuse a Lexington man of raping a girl who was under 12 years old.

According to court documents, someone who knew the girl called authorities after 43-year-old Miguel Simental refused to let her into an area of the house he and the child were in.

She forced her way in and saw him zipping up his pants and the girl hiding in a closet in her t-shirt and underwear, according to documents.

Documents also say the child told authorities he raped her.

She also states he touched her inappropriately on several occasions.
