Lexington Legends will give out free Coach Mark Stoops bobbleheads

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Lexington Legends plan to giveaway 1,000 free bobbleheads of University of Kentucky Football Head Coach Mark Stoops.

The bobbleheads will go to the first 1,000 fans that enter the gates of Whitaker Bank Ballpark on Thursday.

The bobblehead is seven inches tall. It will portray Stoops on the sidelines of Kroger Field, wearing a white UK short-sleeve shirt with khakis and a white UK hat.

Coach Stoops became head coach in 2013. According to the Legends, he made a big difference for the program, winning more games in 2014 than in the last two seasons combined.

“Coach Stoops is not only a great football coach, but also a great member of our community.  We are thrilled to have another University of Kentucky coach bobblehead at the ballpark this year,” said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea.

In the past, the Legends have given out other UK bobbleheads, including portrayals of  Basketball Coach John Calipari and former UK basketball player DeMarcus Cousins

Gates will open Thursday an hour ahead of first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
