Lexington Legends Honor Travis Gaines

      The Lexington Legends paid tribute to injured Dunbar High School baseball player Travis Gaines for Sunday’s game.

      Legends players and staff wrote Gaines’s number 19 on their left hand to honor the Dunbar senior who severely hurt his neck while diving in the Gulf Coast in Florida earlier this month.

     Gaines is now in Louisville rehabbing the injury.

     Before the game the Dunbar Baseball team was recognized while a slide show played of Gaines and his supporters on the scoreboard.

     A golf tournament is being setup for May 6th out at Champions Trace Golf Course in Nicholasville to raise money for Gaines’s family to pay his medical bills.
