Lexington Legends launch food drive to support local families in need
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Lexington Legends are teaming up with Community Inclusion to help fight food insecurity for local students and families.
The baseball team has launched a food drive to collect non-perishable items such as canned goods, rice, pasta, oats, granola, and cereal.
Donations can be dropped off at Legends Field, located at 207 Legends Lane in Lexington, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Team representatives say the effort is about more than just collecting food — it’s about uniting the community to make a difference, one meal at a time.
