Lexington is big step closer to minimum wage hike

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington is a big step closer to a higher minimum wage.

The city says during a work session today, the Lexington Urban County Council voted eight to six for the council to consider an increase in the wage to $10.10 an hour. It would be phased in over three years.

This still needs a final vote from the council, which could come in the next few weeks.
