UPDATE: Family loses most of its possessions in house fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators are looking into what started a fire that heavily damaged a home overnight Wednesday.

Crews were called to the 4600 block of Spring Creek just before 2:00 a.m. They say when they arrived, smoke and flames were coming from the home.

No one was hurt but one of the children living in the home had a seizure from the shock, according to the family.

Firefighters say the home suffered “significant damage.” The family says most of their possessions were lost or damaged.

Firefighters say the cause is under investigation.
