Lexington inmate fails to return after medical appointment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A jail inmate in Lexington didn’t return from a court-ordered medical pass Wednesday afternoon, according to the Fayette County Detention Center.

Police are now looking for 36-year old Jinelle Renee Morton.

She was released for the appointment at 1:15 p.m. and was scheduled to return at 4:00 p.m., according to the jail.

Morton was in jail on a charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree, according to corrections officials.

She is an African American woman, 5’3”, 125 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
