Lexington Humane Society takes in pets from hurricane Harvey

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Humane Society has taken in several pets from Texas after hurricane Harvey.

According to the Humane Society, they took in 24 pets that were moved from shelters in Texas to make room for other pets displaced by the storm.

Officials at the Humane Society say they will be getting a transport of animals in from Florida as a result of hurricane Irma this afternoon.
