Lexington Humane Society and PetSmart Charities open a new Everyday Adoption Center for local pets

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 News Now) — A new adoption center is now open to help pets in Lexington find their forever homes.

The Lexington Humane Society and PetSmart Charities cut the ribbon on the Everyday Adoption Center Saturday. The grand opening at the Pavilion Way PetSmart featured giveaways and free pet food.

Dozens of adoptable pets met with families during the event.

The opening wraps up National Adoption Week as Lexington celebrates its recent ranking as a top dog city.
