Lexington HS musicians perform at Walt Disney World Resort

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Students from Henry Clay High School entertained thousands on February 12, at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

100 band students, grades 9-12, put on a musical spectacular that featured “Songs of Old Kentucky”, directed by William Kite.

During their four-day stay, students also participated in a Disney Performing Arts workshop, rehearsing classic film scores at Epcot.

Vocal, instrumental, and dance ensembles from all over the world apply to perform each year as part of the Disney Performing Arts. If selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at Disney, to an international audience of resort guests.
