LFD: Dryer might have started Lexington house fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Firefighters say a dryer might have started a house fire in Lexington that displaced at least one person.

It happened around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon on Majestic View Walk. Firefighters say a woman told them she had left her dryer running when she left the home. When she returned, she says it had caught fire.

No one was hurt, according to investigators. They say there’s smoke damage throughout the home, as well as damage to the siding of the house and the garage.

Firefighters say no one will be able to live in the home until it’s fixed. As of 3:30pm, crews were still on the scene of the fire.
