Lexington gives 10,000th first-dose of COVID-19 vaccine

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department administered its’ 10,000th first-dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Helen, an 89-year-old, received the milestone vaccine. According to the health department, Helen’s reason for getting the shot was simple, “I don’t want to get COVID!”
Wednesday, Mayor Linda Gorton congratulated the department on Twitter saying, “Yay! Congratulations @LFCHD on giving your 10,000th first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. And, congratulations to Helen! #LexDoThis.”
