Lexington Fraternal Order of Firefighters Toy Drive Kick-Off

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fraternal Order or Firefighters is kicking off its 88th Annual Firefighter Toy Drive.

The firefighters are asking for donations which will be accepted at all Lexington fire stations. They say were able to help more than 2,200 children around the state last year, according to press release.

Firefighters say they are looking for suitable for ages 0 to 12 years old such as bikes, dolls and games. They ask that toys be new and unwrapped.

Applications for the program will be available beginning on November, 4th. You must apply in person at 3180 Richmond Rd, formerly Walmart during these times.

November 4th to November 21st

  • Monday – Wednesday:  9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Thursday – 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday – Sunday: Closed

To apply:

  • You must be the legal guardian or parent of the child, have a valid ID or driver’s license with the same address as listed on the application shown.
  • Proof of being a Fayette County resident by having a recent piece of mail with name and address. You may not use food stamp information, insurance bills, and social security information to prove residence.
  • You must have the child’s birth certificate or a letter of attendance from a Fayette County school, a social security card cannot be accepted.
  • The child must be between the ages of birth and 12 years old.
