Lexington firefighters quickly contain kitchen fire, no injuries reported

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington firefighters responded to an apartment fire Tuesday morning and quickly brought the flames under control.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were sent out to the Bold Bidder Drive address in the Hideaway Apartments complex around 10:19 a.m. and arrived to find smoke coming from the first floor apartment. Firefighters located a kitchen fire and extinguished it quickly, containing the damage to the kitchen.

One person and a dog were displaced, but no injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is assisting the occupant.

Fire investigators are on scene working to determine what caused the fire.
