Lexington firefighters host 2nd Autism Safety Day
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Firefighters took time to train and instruct a group of amazing people Saturday.
For the 2nd year, they hosted Autism Safety Day. The day was meant to prepare those with autism and caretakers of those with autism on how to handle certain emergency situations.
Firefighters focused on things like fire extinguishers, how to handle runaways and being around special service dogs.
The training was held at fire station 20 on Arrowhead Road.
