UPDATE: 5 houses damaged in fire on Stansberry Cove
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighters say a mother and two daughters escaped a fire in their Stansberry Cove home safely.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, the fire started in the back of the house and pushed its way to the front, collapsing the roof in the process.
Two homes on either side of the home were damaged from the heat. According to firefighters the homes were only 10 feet apart on one side, and 7 feet apart on the other.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators believe the two daughters saw a glow from the rear window and ran out of the house.

Firefighters say 5 houses have been damaged after a 2-alarm fire on Stansberry Cove.
The Lexington Traffic Management Center says Stansberry Cove between Tradewind Way and Clooney Pass remains closed because of the fire.
Still no word on possible injuries, or the cause of the fire.

Stansberry Cove between Tradewind Way and Clooney Pass has been closed due to a house fire on Stansberry Cove.
Firefighters say the smoke was visible two miles away from the home.
Crews on the scene say they believe the fire started at the back of the home.

Stansberry Cove between Tradewind Way and Clooney Pass – Street closed due to a structure fire.
Lexington firefighters are on the scene of a fire on Stansberry Cove.
According to firefighters, the smoke could be seen from Hays Boulevard.
Firefighters responded to the fire around 4:40 p.m.
Surrounding houses are being checked for occupants.
