Lexington Fire Department headed to Texas to help hurricane victims

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fire Department deployed over a dozen personnel to Texas on Wednesday, according to officials.

According to the fire department, they sent 18 members of the LFD, two boats, suburbans, a passenger van, an F550 truck, and a Support trailer to Texas to assist hurricane victims.

Fire department officials say they are headed to College Station, Texas, which is 95 miles outside Houston. They will be gone for 9 days.
