Lexington fire crews respond to Rose Street apartment fire
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Fire crews responded overnight to a fire at an apartment building in downtown Lexington.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were dispatched just before 12:50 a.m. Thursday to the 100 block of Rose Street after residents reported smoke in the building.
When firefighters arrived, they found a small fire inside the building’s trash chute. The call was upgraded to a working fire as crews worked to extinguish the flames.
The Lexington Fire Department says the fire was quickly put out. No one was injured, and no residents were displaced.
