Lexington Fire Captain due in court for misdemeanor assault
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Lexington fire captain arrested last week in Clark County is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon.
According to court records, Captain Brandon Voet is set for arraignment at 1 p.m. on a misdemeanor assault charge.
The Lexington Fire Department said Voet, who has been with the department since 2006 and was named Company Officer of the Year in 2019, was arrested Thursday.
Per standard procedure, Voet has been placed on paid administrative duty pending the outcome of the investigation.
