Lexington Fire and Police plan 9/11 wreath-laying

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Honor Guards of the Lexington Fire and Police Departments will pay tribute to the men and women who died on Sept. 11, 2001 with a wreath-laying ceremony Friday, the 19th anniversary of the attacks.

The 9/11 ceremony is 9 a.m. Friday at Phoenix Park at the corner of Main ad Limestone streets in downtown Lexington at the Fallen Police and Fire Memorials.

The service will commemorate the fallen members of the Police and Fire Departments in New York City who were lost on 9/11.
