Lexington council to discuss use of $6 million budget surplus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Lexington Urban County Council will hold a special Budget Committee meeting Tuesday to decide how to use more than $6 million left over from last year’s city budget.

The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. in council chambers at the Government Center on East Main Street in downtown Lexington.

City officials say the agenda also includes a financial update for the current fiscal year.
