Lexington Comic Con underway

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Starting today, and continuing through the weekend, Central Bank Center is hosting Lexington Comic Con.

More than 30,000 people are expected to attend the event.

Celebrity guests are always on hand to meet their fans.

Included this year are Barbara Eden, from “I Dream of Jeanie,” along with cast members from TV shows, such as, “Charmed,” “Arrow,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and more.

Some of those involved say this event will have at least something everyone who attends will enjoy.

“The Lexington Comic Con is basically just four days to let your geek flag fly,” said vendor Jon Peacock. “Whatever you’re a fan of, something’s here for you. There’s a giant full-sized ‘Appa’ from ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender.’ You can come get a picture riding ‘Appa.’ We have our Ecto-One out here. There are Storm Troopers everywhere. So, Whatever you’re a nerd for, there’s something out here for you to enjoy and celebrate that.”
