Lexington chef to feed the city’s homeless Sunday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Chef Love Talley will hold his 5th annual Feed the Homeless this Sunday at his restaurant.

The event will be held Sunday, May 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1479 Boardwalk in north Lexington.

The menu consists of a pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwich, a cup of Burgoo, potato chips, baked beans, Apple Crisp and bottled water.

Talley’s B.B.Q. just celebrated 20-years serving Lexington and surrounding areas.  Each year Chef Talley provides free meals to the homeless, first responders, Fayette County students, pastors along with feeding the less fortunate at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

He says it’s the least he can do to give back to a community that has been loyal and supportive of his business for the last two decades.  He says it’s important to give back and be a good corporate citizen.
