Lexington Chapter of Links

The Frankfort / Lexington (KY) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated is a member of a larger 72-year-old not-for-profit international corporation, The Links, Incorporated.  Our membership consists of 15,000 professional women in 288 chapters across 42 states, the District of Columbia, the commonwealth of the Bahamas, and most recently, the United Kingdom.  We are Friends Transforming Communities Through Service.

Our service over the past 50 years has been plentiful.  Currently, our integrated program is called “Developing Our Youth”.  We are in our 5^th year of a tutoring partnership with Booker T. Washington Elementary School.  We are in our 6^th year of the “Keys to The Community Program where we have introduced more than 100 local youth to classical piano.  Each year, we provide free dental exams by bringing the Colgate Mobil Unit to Lexington.  We have received National recognition for the work we are doing in this community with our veterans to help integrate them back into civilian life by providing financial literacy, interviewing and mental health awareness education.  Our 50^th Anniversary celebration began with a Health Summit for everyone where we invited some of the areas’ top healthcare
