Lexington Center cleans up after pipe bursts

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Crews at Lexington Center are cleaning up after a second sprinkler pipe burst Friday evening.

According to Lexington Fire Department officials, the pipe burst late Friday night as temperatures started to warm up.

Fire department crews on the scene say the sprinkler head broke in the Thoroughbred area and building personnel were able to stop the leak by turning off the main sprinkler value for that area.

The fire department told ABC 36 News that they responded to the Lexington Center earlier on Friday for a different sprinkler pipe that had also broken.

Crews say there was no significant damage.
