LexCall out of service

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – LexCall 3-1-1, the city’s call center for government services, is out of service.

A statement from the city says that a contractor damaged an electric cable and left the Switow Building, which houses LexCall, without power. The contractor is making roof repairs.

Repairs are ongoing, but are expected to take several hours.

Citizens who have an urgent issue and need to contact the city this evening may call 258-3600. But citizens are encouraged to delay calls until tomorrow if possible. Citizens with internet access may enter routine service requests on the 3-1-1 website (http://www.lexingtonky.gov/index.aspx?page=3441).

LexCall will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday.
