Lex Sporting adds two more signings to men’s side
Attacker and defender ink deals to play for the Greens
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- An attacker and a defender are joining the ranks of Lexington Sporting Club as the club’s latest signings on Tuesday.
They are the sixth and seventh players who make up the new signings list for Head Coach Terry Boss.
Forward Milo Yosef
The German attacker played his college soccer at highly successful Marshall University before turning professional. He comes to the Greens from FC Tulsa in the USL Championship.
With the Thundering Herd, Yosef won the 2020 NCAA National Championship. He scored 31 goals and provided 21 assists in his college career. In Tulsa last season, he scored twice and assisted once.
“I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this journey with Lexington Sporting Club,” said Yosef. “The vision and energy surrounding this club are inspiring and I’m eager to help make history in this inaugural season.”
“Milo is a player who embodies the values and ambition of Lexington Sporting Club,” said Boss. “His technical ability, vision, and passion for the game make him an ideal fit for the style of soccer we aim to play.”
Defender Xavier Zengue
From north of the border in Ohio, Zengue has experience playing in MLS NEXT Pro for the Columbus Crew, who drafted him in 2023. He also played college soccer for the University of Dayton.
With the Crew’s second team, he played in 12 games with an 87 percent passing accuracy. At almost six feet tall, Zengue adds a great height advantage to Lexington’s back line.
“I have heard a lot of great things about the club and the city. I can’t wait to get to work with the team and will do everything I can to help this team be successful,” said Zengue.
