Leitchfield facility expanding, adding 65 jobs

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. (AP) — An automotive products facility is expanding in Leitchfield, where it expects to add 65 new jobs.

Gov. Steve Beshear’s office said Plastikon Industries is investing $10.3 million in the project. The state has given preliminary approval to up to $1.15 million in tax incentives.

Plastikon makes plastic injection molding for the automotive industry.

Beshear’s office says Plastikon has two facilities in Leitchfield. The company began operations in Grayson County in 2006 with 20 employees and has grown to more than 200 full-time employees with annual sales of over $30 million.
