Lego Convention is for every age

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lego Convention in Lexington was more than just playtime.

Artist from Chicago, Canada, San Diego, to name a few are in town to show their skills to the Commonwealth.

We’re talking life-size creations. The event had over 40 landmarks and they were built to scale.

Kyle and Kamron Spivey stopped by to learn more about what goes into the artwork and possibly take some new lego’s home.

Kyle came to the event to check out the different structures and Kamron is more of a collector.

“I have well over a thousand and I more specifically now look for certain like Star Wars or certain movies and try to get all the figures for that, that I’m interested in. So this was a good opportunity too and then also just to see all of the models here, just to see the intricate details for it is what’s really interesting,” Kamron said.

They said even if you don’t plan on buying anything you should check out the event.
