Lee County inmate released by mistake
LEE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police are searching for an escaped inmate who walked out of the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville last Thursday.
Investigators say 43-year-old Jeffrey Harrison of Lexington was accidentally released after allegedly pretending to be his brother, who was the one scheduled for release.
Harrison was serving a sentence for promoting contraband at the time of the escape. Authorities believe he may have left the jail in an older white Subaru.
Anyone with information on Harrison’s whereabouts is urged to contact Kentucky State Police immediately.
