Leadership shakeup in Lawrenceburg as fire chief, two others resign

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — There’s been a major change in leadership in Lawrenceburg. City officials confirm Fire Chief John Durr has resigned, along with two other individuals.

According to the city, all three resignation letters were submitted earlier this week. ABC 36 News Now asked about the situation, and Mayor Troy Young referred to it as a personnel matter. He declined to provide additional details.

It’s unclear what led to the resignations. The city has not released the names of the other two individuals who stepped down, and no interim leadership has been announced.
