LCSO: Woman arrested on drug charges, admits to lacing treats with marijuana

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office say they have arrested a woman on drug charges and DUI, after being in possession of drug-laced treats.

The sheriff’s office says 31-year-old Ashley Mullins conducted an investigation after noticing the car she was driving had an expired license plate. Deputies say that while speaking to her, she had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

Deputies also she Mullins had three rice kripsy treats and three fudge candy bars laced with marijuana. They say Mullins admitted to baking marijuana into the treats.

Mullins was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
