LCSO: One-year old tests positive for meth; mother arrested

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman has been arrested after her one-year old son tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 36-year old Brandy Mosko told them she’s a meth user and knowingly took her little boy to a home in Laurel County July 11 where meth was being used and that the child became ill.

Investigators say the boy was taken to the emergency room at the hospital in London and then transferred to Kentucky Children’s Hospital in Lexington.

Deputies say the child tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine, Tylenol and ibuprofen.

Mosko was arrested and charged with Criminal Abuse 1st Degree, according to deputies.

She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
