LCSO: Man admits to stealing wallet, debit cards and ID
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Laurel County man admits to stealing a wallet, the identification inside, debit cards and cashing a check using the stolen ID, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the wallet was stolen Thursday. Investigators say bank security camera video shows 24-year old Clayton Ross Hammons, of London, using the stolen identification to cash a check.
Investigators posted those images to the sheriff office’s Facebook page and they say response from the public led them to Hammons. He was arrested Friday morning and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
