Lawrenceburg police are looking for a suspect who allegedly robbed the U-Mart and caused nearby schools to go on lockdown on Monday morning.
Around 10:15 a.m., police were called to the U-Mart at 1002 Crossroad Drive for a report of an armed robbery.
A U-Mart employee reported that a man walked into the store wearing a black ski mask, a black jacket with a gray hoodie underneath, cargo pants and light brown shoes.
The man allegedly waited for patrons to leave the store, approached the register, displayed a knife and demanded money from the register.
Employees complied, police told ABC 36.
The man reportedly left the store on foot toward Fox Creek Road, then fled in an early 2000s model maroon Chevrolet 1500 extended cab pickup truck.
He was last seen on Highway 127 around 5:30 p.m. Monday, police say.
The suspect is still at large.
