Lawrenceburg appoints new fire chief following leadership resignations
LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Lawrenceburg Fire Department has appointed William Curtsinger as its new fire chief, following a series of leadership resignations in May. The department announced the appointment in a Facebook post Monday night.
According to the post, Curtsinger was nominated by the City Safety Committee and received a unanimous vote from the Lawrenceburg City Council. He was officially sworn in by Mayor Troy Young. Following his appointment, Curtsinger named Jason Collins as the new deputy chief.
The leadership changes come after former Fire Chief John Durr and others submitted their resignations last month.
