Laurel deputies: Teenage boy killed in ATV accident

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating a deadly ATV crash involving two teenagers.

Deputies say it happened just before 7:15 Monday night on Maple Grove School Road west of London. They say a 17-year-old boy was driving an ATV when it went off the road on a sharp curve. Deputies say the ATV hit an embankment, and the driver, as well as a 16-year-old female passenger, were ejected from the Kawasaki.

The sheriff’s office says the boy died at the scene. It says the teenage girl was airlifted to the hospital. No word on her condition.
