Laurel deputies: Argument led to shooting off KY 472

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating a shooting that happened among family members.

Deputies say it happened today around 5:00pm off Kentucky 472, about 9 miles east of London.  Investigators say there was an argument between Earl and Shirley Fields, and Shirley’s brother James House.

According to the sheriff’s office, shots were fire by both men. Deputies say Earl Fields was shot several times, and was airlifted to U.K. Hospital.

Investigators say the case will be turned over to the grand jury.
