Laurel County woman charged with manslaughter following crash
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is out of the hospital and behind bars following a fatal crash in Laurel County.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened on Keavy Road on Sunday at around 4:20 a.m.
According to deputies, 28-year-old Kayla Brock, of Wallins, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet pickup when it dropped of the shoulder and sideswiped a telephone pole on the passenger side.

Her passenger, 25-year-old Daniel Witt, of Keavy, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Brock was also taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
She was then released and charged with manslaughter, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, driving too fast for road conditions, failure to wear seat belts, and operating on suspended or revoked operators license.
Brock is in the Whitley County Detention Center.
