Laurel County man accused of shooting wife and another man

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Barefoot and bare-chested, 29-year-old Dallas Music from Prestonsburg was arrested Saturday evening in Laurel County for allegedly shooting his wife and another man at an ATV park off US 25.

Laurel County deputies say after 4:30 p.m. they found 35-year-old Gary Johnson from Lancaster and Music’s wife, Brittany with gunshot wounds on an off-road trail, deep in the woods.

They think Music fired a pistol near six people after someone threw trash from a vehicle, then shot Johnson and Mrs. Music.

The two of them were airlifted to UK hospital.

Investigators say they found the 9 millimeter pistol used in the shooting thrown into a creek.

They also found Dallas Music and charged him with assault, attempted murder, and endangerment.
