Laurel County man sentenced to more than 20 years for firearms offenses

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Laurel County man was sentenced to more than two decades in prison for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

A federal jury convicted 41-year-old Bobby Green on August 15 of being a felon in possession of a firearm and knowingly possessing a firearm a drug trafficking offense.

He was sentenced on Tuesday in federal court.

One co-defendant in the case was sentenced earlier this year.

Two other co-defendants are scheduled to be sentenced next month.
