Laurel County man arrested after deputies find him stuck in ditch during snowstorm

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Middlesboro man is facing charges after Laurel County deputies say they found him intoxicated inside a vehicle that had slid into a ditch during Friday morning’s snowstorm.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy arrested 34-year-old Timothy Brock around 3:28 a.m. Friday off U.S. 25, about 12 miles north of London. Deputies were called to the area after Brock’s vehicle became stuck in a ditch.

The sheriff’s office said that, during the investigation, Brock showed signs of impairment and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

Brock was charged with public intoxication (controlled substance) and taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.

This case remains under investigation.
