Laurel County Man Accused Of Helping Fugitive

A Laurel County man was arrested Friday morning while investigators were looking for a fugitive.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said Gilbert Tim Allen, 52, of Laurel River Church Road, was charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension, 2nd Degree.

Investigators said Allen allowed Jerry Burns, 50, of London, to stay at Allen’s residence and hid Burns’ vehicle from law enforcement authorities.

Investigators said Burns has numerous outstanding felony warrants out against him.

Earlier this week, Coleman L. Delph, Junior, 52, of East Pittsburg Church Road in London, was charged after investigators said he helped Burns avoid authorities by transporting him and his belongings from various locations.
