Laurel County Fire Leaves Residents Without Homes
Some Laurel County families need a place to go, after an apartment fire overnight Thursday.
The fire at the Rose Ann Apartments on Robert E. Cox Road started around 2:30.
A man says he woke up to the smell of smoke, he then warned his neighbors.
The fire department says that man’s apartment was the only one damaged by fire.
That man suffered minor burns.
Other apartments had smoke and water damage.
Firefighters say other people were treated for smoke inhalation.
The Red Cross is helping around 20 people displaced.
